Makanyi is a luxury game lodge located in Timbavati, South Africa, right on the edge of the Kruger National Park, which makes it a top destination for safari observing wildlife. The resort strives to create memorable tailor-made guest experiences while respecting the natural environment and its inhabitants.
Just a few luxury lodges and homes provide full privacy and luxury for its guests. In total there are 7 large luxury suites and two bedroom villas. All suites overlook the dam and have a relaxing sitting area with its own gas fireplace, a beautiful bathroom with a spacious shower and separate bathtub, a private deck with loungers and an outdoor shower. There are Luxury Suites and two Luxury Pool Suites located furthest from the main lodge and offer more privacy including a private plunge pool on the deck. Also there is Marula Suite with 366m² of space with a large outdoor deck featuring two en-suite bedrooms each with their own shower and separate bath, a large living room, a dining room and kitchen. The Main Lodge is a spacious common area, where guests can gather and relax.
Besides local, African flavoured food, guests can enjoy plenty of other lodge and area activities. The resort offers the experience of game drives, bush walks, safaris , star gazing, spa, gym, zip line, helicopter tours and many more.
